
Horizons Atlanta at Woodward Academy: Silent Auction
CALL FOR ARTISTS:
Horizons Atlanta at Woodward Academy is celebrating 10 years of closing the opportunity gap for underserved students in our community through high-quality academics and enrichment during a transformative six-week summer learning program.
Scholars enroll during Kindergarten and are with our program through high school building community and lasting bonds. During the summer, scholars participate in targeted reading and math remediation, engaging STEAM, and daily swimming lessons that lead to incredible growth in academics and confidence.
All proceeds of this event directly benefit summer and after school programming for the 2022-2023 school year at an average cost of $2500 per student.
ABA is looking for artists to donate works, prints, or wears for this silent auction benefit. Artists should complete the form below and include 1-3 items for consideration. We are looking for items from a diverse range of artists. Selected items will be on display leading up to the silent auction reception.
ELIGIBILITY:
This benefit show is open to artists 18 years of age and older. Artwork and wears in all mediums will be considered.
FEES:
There are no fees for submission.
CONDITIONS AND RULES:

Items should be can be no larger than 18x18 inches.

Artists may not substitute another item for the accepted work at drop-off.
Artists should provide a starting bid price for their item. The curator will ensure proper sales and keep a record of sales transactions. And remember this is a benefit show — 100% of sales go to benefit Horizons Atlanta at Woodward Academy.
Artists grant permission to ABA to reproduce accepted artwork for promotional uses in both printed and electronic forms.
NOTIFICATIONS:
Selected artists will be notified by email or Instagram. Artists whose work has been selected will be responsible for the delivery of work to Arches Brewing no later than April 23rd. Artists whose work that does not sell during the auction will be contacted after the close of the event.
IMPORTANT ARTIST DATES:
April 1st: Call for artists opens
April 16th: DEADLINE - Call for artists closes
April 18th: Final notification to selected artists
April 23rd: DEADLINE - Final day for drop off
BENEFIT DATES:
April 25th - 30th: Show run
April 25th: Bidding on items opens
April 30th: Silent auction reception 5pm - 9pm
