CALL FOR ARTISTS: 

ABA is excited to announce our 5th annual Halloween exhibition. Artists should complete the form below for consideration. If you have a work in progress, tell us about it in the 'About the work' text field or include 1-3 images of completed or in-progress works. We are looking for works from a diverse range of artists. Of the works submitted, we will select 30-40 total artists for inclusion in this year's exhibition.

CONDITIONS AND RULES: 

• Artworks should aim to be no larger than 36 x 36 inches

• All artworks must be ready to hang

• Do not submit artwork that contains intentionally offensive material

• Artworks must be available for sale

• Artists must pick up unsold works within 90 days

​

Artists grant permission to ABA to reproduce artwork for promotional uses in printed and electronic forms.

​

TYPE OF WORK: 

We are open to all types of artwork - paintings, drawings, collages, prints, hangable 3D pieces, and other exciting, innovative mediums. Of course, the theme of the work must have a Halloween/spooky vibe — but that can range from cute and colorful to downright frightening as all hell. This show is open to artists 18 years of age and older.

READY TO HANG: 

Work must be ready to hang. We accept all hanging types but ensure your work is stable enough for hanging. If it isn't, we reserve the right to adjust your work so we can hang optimally. Please let the curator know if you have questions or need advice or help.

ARTWORK DISPLAY & ONLINE MEDIA: 

The physical artwork will be displayed to the public in our main gallery space indoors. The curator will create gallery wall tags and other materials. Artists will be credited when we show work online or in print formats.

SALES & UNSOLD WORK: 

Artists always receive 100% of sales at ABA, and this show has no fees. The curator will ensure proper accounting of sales transactions and coordinate artwork hand-off with potential buyers. 

​

Please pick up your unsold work. Artists who do not pick up unsold works within 90 days waive their ownership rights. Your work will become the property of ABA gallery.

DROP-OFF: 

Artists whose work is selected must deliver it to Arches Brewing NO LATER THAN October 8th. We will email you additional delivery information and other instructions.

SOMETHING HAUNTING PALOOZA:

Being our fifth-anniversary show, we want to make it a memorable one. So we'll have a jam-packed program on the 29th. This event features live music from Cat Fight, El Matador, Parlour Club and more. Our Halloween costume contest is back — dress the best and win! Food vendors and beer specials. More exciting details to come.
